Requirements to Consider
Boarding at Essex Animal Hospital is a service given priority to our current patients whose pets we have an established relationship and prior experience with. For new clients seeking to board their pets at our facility, a first-time consultation and evaluation/examination of your pet is asked for before any boarding services are scheduled. This way, our technicians, assistants, and veterinarians can meet and get to know you and your beloved pet and introduce you to our state-of -the-art facility where your companion will be exceedingly taken special care of.
Additionally, for the sake of all our animal patients being boarded or attended at our facility, *we require certain vaccinations for dogs and cats to be current/up-to-date.*
For dogs, these include:
- DA2PP (distemper vaccine)
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
- Influenza vaccine (canine flu)
For cats, required vaccinations include:
- FVRCP (feline distemper vaccine combo)
- FeLV (recommended for cats with lots of outdoor exposure)
